CORE PURPOSE

We require an ambitious, intellectually rigorous Psychology specialist to deliver high-quality social science instruction across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5. The role involves facilitating a challenging, research-led academic curriculum that introduces pupils to complex psychological theories, research methodologies, biopsychology, and statistical data analysis, preparing them for advanced scholarly inquiry.

KEY TASKS & DAILY OPERATIONS

  • Curriculum Delivery & Academic Rigour: Plan and execute highly structured, evidence-based Psychology lessons that challenge pupils across A-Level and GCSE specifications.
  • Research & Methodology Instruction: Guide pupils through the complexities of experimental design, quantitative and qualitative research methods, data collection protocols, and ethical considerations in psychological research.
  • Examination Preparation: Guide Key Stage 5 and Key Stage 4 cohorts systematically through terminal examination requirements, embedding sophisticated analytical writing frameworks, evaluation skills, and retrieval practices.
  • Progress Monitoring: Run regular formative and summative assessment routines, utilising pupil tracking data to diagnose conceptual misconceptions and design sharp, targeted intervention sessions.
  • Pastoral Responsibilities: Undertake full form tutor duties, managing morning registration routines, tracking pupil attendance, and delivering the school's structured personal and social development programmes.
