- Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons across the curriculum in line with the National Curriculum
- Creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that supports the academic, social, and emotional development of all pupils
- Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of pupils of varying abilities, including those with SEN or EAL
- Monitoring pupil progress through formative and summative assessment and adapting teaching accordingly
- Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, effort, and achievement
- Supporting pupils’ social, emotional, and personal development alongside their academic progress
- Working collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, SEN staff, and senior leadership to provide targeted support
- Participating in pupil progress meetings, curriculum planning, and whole-school initiatives
- Communicating effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress, behaviour, and wellbeing
- Keeping accurate records of pupil performance, assessment, and behaviour
- Actively participating in staff meetings, CPD sessions, and other professional development opportunities
- Upholding safeguarding, child protection, and school policies at all times
The Ideal Candidate
The school is looking for a Primary Teacher who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Has experience teaching in KS1 or KS2 (ECTs welcome)
- Demonstrates excellent classroom management skills and a positive approach to behaviour
- Is committed to inclusive education, supporting pupils from diverse backgrounds
- Can differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners
- Is reflective, proactive, and committed to ongoing professional development
