A successful and well-established secondary school in Reading is seeking a dedicated Safeguarding Officer to join its busy pastoral team.
Previous School Safeguarding Experience Essential
This is a hands‑on role supporting the school's safeguarding systems and working closely with the DSL to ensure concerns are identified, recorded and followed up appropriately.
Maintain accurate CPOMS/safeguarding records
Support referrals and case management
Follow up actions and safeguarding chronologies
Work with staff, families and external agencies
Support safeguarding meetings and reviews
Ensure safeguarding documentation remains accurate and compliant
Previous experience in school safeguarding, child protection or a similar education-based role is essential.
You’ll be calm under pressure, highly organised and confident dealing with sensitive situations.
