About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and tech-savvy IT Technician to join a vibrant organization in Berkshire.
You will serve as the first point of contact for troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring that staff and users experience minimal downtime and maximum digital efficiency.
Key Responsibilities

Helpdesk Support: Provide responsive 1st and 2nd line IT support, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, printer, and network connectivity issues.

System Maintenance: Set up, configure, and deploy new workstations, laptops, tablets, and interactive AV equipment.

User Administration: Manage user accounts, password resets, and permission settings via Active Directory / Office 365.

Network & Security: Assist with basic network troubleshooting, firewall checks, and ensuring antivirus and security patches are up to date.

Documentation: Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets and document recurring technical fixes for the knowledge base.
Requirements & Qualifications

Experience: 1+ years of experience in an IT support, helpdesk, or technical technician role.

Technical Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and hardware troubleshooting.

Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills with a customer-first attitude and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

Qualifications: Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Fundamentals) or an IT-related degree/diploma are a strong advantage.
