An Outstanding secondary school in Reading is looking to appoint a General Administration Assistant to support its busy school office.
This role would suit someone who enjoys a varied working day. You’ll spend part of your time supporting reception and dealing with visitors and enquiries, while also completing the administration that keeps the school office running efficiently.
Key responsibilities include:

Acting as a welcoming first point of contact for visitors

Answering and directing telephone calls

Responding to emails and routine enquiries

Signing visitors in and following school procedures

Updating databases and maintaining accurate records
-
Preparing and organising paperwork
-
Filing, scanning and photocopying documents
-
Supporting staff with general administrative requests

Assisting with correspondence and office communications

Maintaining confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information
What you'll bring:

Previous experience in administration, reception or a similar office environment

Strong organisation and attention to detail

Good written and verbal communication skills

A professional and approachable manner

Confidence using standard IT and Microsoft Office

The ability to manage competing tasks in a busy environment
Experience within a school or education setting would be useful, but isn't essential if you have strong transferable administration experience.
