Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging English Language and Literature lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Differentiating lessons effectively to meet the needs of all learners.
- Assess, monitor and support student progress in line with school policies.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes excellent behaviour for learning.
- Contribute to curriculum planning, enrichment activities and departmental development.
- Provide pastoral support and build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
- Prepare students confidently for GCSE examinations and coursework requirements.
- Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and promote student wellbeing at all times.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature.
