Our client is delighted to be seeking a passionate and inspiring Drama Teacher to join a small, well-established independent school in Reading, renowned for its nurturing ethos, strong academic foundations, and vibrant creative life.
Full-time Drama Teacher required from January 2026. This is a wonderful opportunity for a Drama Teacher to become an integral part of a warm and collaborative arts department within a charming private school where pupils are known as individuals and encouraged to develop confidence, creativity, and self-expression.
Small class sizes allow for practical, discussion-led teaching and meaningful engagement with performance, theatre history, and dramatic texts. The school values teachers who enjoy contributing to the wider life of the school, and the successful candidate will be encouraged to lead or support school productions, drama clubs, workshops, and performance-based enrichment activities, helping to foster a love of theatre both inside and beyond the classroom.
Experience and Qualifications- Qualified Drama Teacher with strong subject knowledge and a passion for performance and theatre
- Ability to teach across KS3–KS5 (A Level Drama experience welcomed but not essential)
- A creative, reflective practitioner who balances high standards with encouragement and care
- Recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to working within a small staff team
- Eligibility to work in the UK
