Biology Teacher Role

The successful candidate will join a dedicated Science department and will be responsible for teaching Biology across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will deliver lessons covering areas such as cells, genetics, ecology, human biology and other elements of the secondary Biology curriculum.

The school is looking for a teacher who can combine strong subject knowledge with engaging classroom practice. Students should be encouraged to ask questions, investigate scientific ideas and understand how Biology relates to real-world situations.

You will plan and deliver lessons for a range of abilities and will use assessment to identify gaps in knowledge and inform future teaching. GCSE experience will be particularly important, as the successful candidate will support students in preparing for their examinations.

You will also contribute to practical Science where appropriate, working with colleagues to ensure students develop confidence in applying scientific knowledge.

Salary

The salary for this Biology Teacher position will be paid to scale on MPS/UPS, depending on experience and qualifications.
