The Role
Year 1: Lead a Year 1 class and create a structured but engaging learning environment.
Phonics: Deliver high-quality phonics sessions and support pupils requiring additional intervention.
Reading: Develop early reading fluency, comprehension and a love of books.
Writing: Build vocabulary, sentence structure and independent writing skills.
Mathematics: Develop secure understanding of number and calculation.
Assessment: Monitor individual progress and plan appropriate next steps.
Pastoral: Support pupils' confidence and transition into Key Stage 1.
The Candidate
QTS.
KS1 teaching experience.
Strong phonics knowledge.
Patient and nurturing teaching style.
Good understanding of early childhood development.
