You will deliver lessons that develop students' understanding of computer systems, programming, algorithms and computational thinking.
At KS3, you will introduce pupils to coding, digital literacy and the principles of computer science. At KS4, you will teach the relevant GCSE specification, covering areas such as programming techniques, data representation, networks, cybersecurity and computer architecture.
Students should be encouraged to solve problems independently, test their solutions and learn from errors. You will use practical programming tasks alongside theoretical teaching to help pupils apply their knowledge and develop confidence.
The role will also involve planning schemes of work, assessing progress and providing feedback that helps students strengthen their technical understanding. You will be expected to maintain clear classroom expectations and adapt activities to support students with different levels of prior experience.
