We are seeking an enthusiastic, academically strong and committed Science ECT to join an Outstanding mainstream secondary school in Peterborough. This is an excellent opportunity for a Newly Qualified Science Teacher to begin their career within a well-resourced and supportive department.
As a Science Teacher, you will deliver engaging, practical and curriculum-aligned lessons across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities to teach KS5 once established. The Science department features modern laboratories, experienced technicians, strong resources and a collaborative team culture.
The School is a high-performing 11–18 co-educational environment known for exceptional behaviour, strong academic outcomes and outstanding support for early career teachers. The induction programme includes weekly mentoring, reduced timetable, structured CPD and ongoing developmental feedback.
Experience and Qualifications
- Degree in a Science discipline
- PGCE with QTS
- Training to teach Science to KS3/4
- Strong practical and theoretical understanding

Salary
This Science ECT role will be paid in line with MPS1.
