An outstanding secondary school in Peterborough is looking for an enthusiastic PE Teacher to join its department. They are looking for someone who understands that PE is about more than performance β it is about teamwork, resilience, confidence and helping young people develop a lifelong interest in being active.
The Role

Teaching: Deliver engaging PE lessons across KS3βKS5, covering a broad range of sports and physical activities.

Developing Skills: Help students improve their technical ability, tactical understanding, fitness and confidence.

Inclusive Participation: Encourage students of all abilities to take part and enjoy physical activity.

GCSE & A-Level: Support students studying examination PE, developing both their practical performance and theoretical knowledge.

Health & Wellbeing: Help students understand the importance of exercise, fitness and maintaining an active lifestyle.

School Sport: Get involved in fixtures, tournaments, clubs, competitions and school teams.

Positive Environment: Create a sporting environment where students feel encouraged to have a go, work hard and support each other.
The Candidate
We're looking for a PE Teacher who genuinely enjoys sport and enjoys sharing that enthusiasm with young people.
You should have strong knowledge across a range of sporting activities and be able to adapt your teaching to students with different levels of experience.
A relevant degree and teaching qualification would be desirable, along with experience teaching GCSE or A-Level PE.
You should be energetic, approachable and encouraging, with the ability to motivate students who are already passionate about sport as well as those who may lack confidence.
