An Outstanding early-years provision in Peterborough is looking for a thoughtful Nursery Teacher to join its team on a Full-Time basis from the January 2026 start. This position is ideal for a practitioner who combines play-based practice with intentional teaching, who wants to influence continuous provision, and who is excited to start in January 2026.

The successful Nursery Teacher will begin planning and handover before the January 2026 start, attend induction in the January 2026 start period, and teach from the January 2026 start.

The Nursery Teacher role — what you will do:

  • Create stimulating indoor and outdoor environments that promote language, physical development, and early numeracy.
  • Lead high-quality interactions, support language-rich routines, and implement observational assessment.
  • Liaise with families to support home–school continuity and contribute to transition work into Reception centred on the January 2026 start timeframe.
  • Enjoy generous planning time and CPD to deepen practice from the January 2026 start.

Nursery Teacher — candidate attributes:

  • We are seeking a pedagogical Nursery Teacher with QTS/EYTS or equivalent, strong early-years knowledge, and excellent communication skills.
