We are seeking a motivated, innovative and practical Design Technology ECT to join an Outstanding school in Huntingdon. As a Design Technology Teacher, you will deliver engaging, hands-on learning across KS3, KS4 and KS5, helping students to develop strong technical skills, creativity and problem-solving abilities. This is an excellent opportunity for a Newly Qualified DT Teacher to begin their career within a highly supportive and well-resourced environment.
You will work within a successful DT department with modern workshops, full technician support and strong leadership. The department is well known for excellent student engagement and strong GCSE and A-Level outcomes.
The School is a high-performing 11–18 co-educational setting with excellent behaviour standards, strong academic outcomes and a positive community ethos. Early Career Teachers benefit from reduced timetables, weekly mentoring, structured CPD and regular developmental feedback throughout the induction period.
Experience and Qualifications- Degree in Design Technology or related subject
- PGCE with QTS
- Training to teach DT to KS3, KS4 and ideally KS5
- Strong practical skills and commitment to safe workshop practice
- Enthusiasm for creative, project-based learning
The salary for this Design Technology ECT position will be paid to scale in line with MPS1.
