A sports academy in Dunstable is seeking a PE Teacher with the energy and expertise to contribute to its ambitious sporting programme. The successful candidate will teach practical PE, examination theory and specialist athletic development.

The Role

  • PE Teaching: Deliver practical and theoretical lessons across KS3, GCSE and selected KS5 groups.

  • Athletic Development: Support strength, conditioning and performance-based activities.

  • Competitive Sport: Lead teams, fixtures and inter-school competitions.

  • Examination Preparation: Teach GCSE and A-Level PE theory where required.

  • Student Leadership: Develop sports leaders, captains and peer-coaching opportunities.

The Candidate

  • Relevant Degree: A degree in PE, Sports Science, Coaching or a related subject.

  • Sporting Expertise: Strong knowledge of practical sport and athletic development.

  • Coaching Experience: Experience leading teams or competitive programmes.

  • Motivation: Ability to inspire students to pursue personal excellence.

  • Safeguarding Awareness: Commitment to safe and inclusive sporting practice.
