Wayman Education is recruiting a Year 4 teacher for a strong primary school in Oxfordshire.

The successful Year 4 teacher will design well-sequenced units across English, mathematics and the foundation subjects, lead targeted interventions, and contribute to phase moderation. This Year 4 teacher post starts January 2026, and the appointed Year 4 teacher will take part in induction and collaborative planning in the weeks before January 2026 so they can begin the spring term ready to teach.

About the role

The Year 4 teacher will plan differentiated daily lessons, deliver guided-reading and maths mastery sessions, and run booster groups when required. The Year 4 teacher will maintain accurate assessment records, liaise with parents and support transition work to upper KS2. In Oxfordshire, the Year 4 teacher will benefit from mentoring, structured CPD and collaborative phase planning time.

Key responsibilities
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality Year 4 lessons with clear progression and purposeful differentiation.
  • Analyse assessment data to identify priorities and design high-impact small-group teaching.
  • Lead intervention groups to accelerate progress and extend higher-attaining pupils.
  • Contribute to curriculum development, moderation and enrichment across the Oxfordshire setting.
  • Communicate regularly with families about progress and next steps.

  • Qualified teacher with proven Year 4/KS2 experience and evidence of raising attainment.
