A well-regarded secondary school in Oxford is seeking a committed SENCo to lead its provision for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) from January 2026. This is a full-time, permanent leadership role offering the chance to make a real difference in a school that places inclusion and student wellbeing at the heart of its ethos.
The Role
- Full-time SENCo position, starting January 2026
- Lead and manage the school’s SEND provision across KS3–KS5
- Work closely with senior leaders, classroom teachers, and support staff to ensure high-quality teaching and learning for all students
- Oversee EHCPs, access arrangements, and interventions for students with additional needs
- Coordinate with parents, external agencies, and the local authority to provide effective support and guidance
- Train and develop staff to ensure inclusive practice is embedded across the school

What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to complete)
- Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and best practice
- Experience in developing and leading effective interventions and support strategies
- Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- A leader who can inspire both staff and students and foster a culture of inclusion
