A scholarly secondary academy in Oxford is seeking a reliable, efficient Reprographics Technician to manage its high-volume printing, document production, and learning resource hub for an immediate (ASAP) start.

Job Overview

The Reprographics department provides essential print and publishing services that support daily classroom teaching, examination preparations, and whole-school marketing.

Working independently within a dedicated print center, you will manage high-volume printing requests, bind study booklets, laminate learning aids, maintain heavy-duty printing machinery, and track paper and toner consumables. This is a full-time, ongoing or permanent role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain industrial digital printers, photocopiers, guillotines, binding machines, and laminators
  • Process print requests submitted by teaching and administrative staff, ensuring accurate turnaround for morning lessons
  • Format, print, assemble, and finish student workbooks, examination papers, newsletters, and promotional brochures
  • Monitor paper, toner, and stationery stock levels, placing supplier orders and managing machine service logs
  • Troubleshoot basic printing hardware faults and liaise with external service engineers for specialized repairs
  • Support school display creation, mounting artwork, and organizing promotional event banners

Candidate Requirements

  • Prior experience in a reprographics, printing, document publishing, or busy office administrative role
  • Proficiency operating commercial printing machinery, desktop publishing software, and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent organizational capabilities with the ability to manage competing printing deadlines calmly
  • Strong physical stamina for handling heavy paper stock and maintaining equipment
  • An active enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
