The Opportunity

As a member of the Health and Social Care department, you will:

  • Teach Health and Social Care across relevant Key Stages and qualification levels.

  • Deliver engaging and academically challenging lessons using real-world contexts.

  • Develop students' analytical, research, communication and evaluation skills.

  • Prepare students effectively for examinations and coursework.

  • Encourage students to explore current issues affecting health, wellbeing and social care.

  • Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives.

  • Support enrichment activities, guest speakers, careers events and educational visits.

  • Play an active role in the wider life of the school through pastoral and extracurricular involvement.

About You

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.

  • Have strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Health and Social Care.

  • Have experience teaching Health and Social Care or a closely related subject.

  • Build positive and supportive relationships with students.

  • Demonstrate high expectations for achievement, effort and behaviour.

  • Bring enthusiasm, creativity and real-world relevance to the classroom.

  • Be committed to helping students develop both academically and personally.

  • Enjoy working collaboratively within a supportive department and wider school community.
