The Role- Teaching Design & Technology across KS3 and KS4, specialising in Resistant Materials or Product Design.
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons that balance technical theory with workshop practice.
- Supporting pupils with their NEA (Non-Exam Assessment) and the development of design portfolios.
- Promoting high standards of workshop safety, tool maintenance, and health & safety compliance.
- Encouraging creativity, precision, and independence in design-and-make sessions.
- Utilizing modern technology, including CAD/CAM and 3D printing, to enhance student projects.
- Contributing to wider school initiatives and extracurricular design challenges or STEM clubs.
- Currently working towards or recently completed Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- A degree in Design & Technology, Engineering, Product Design, or a related subject.
- Strong subject knowledge and the confidence to deliver practical workshop lessons.
- High expectations for pupil engagement, behaviour, and the quality of practical outcomes.
- A professional, organised, and positive approach to departmental teamwork.
