Join a nurturing Early Years team. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Milton Keynes, starting as soon as possible. This is an exciting opportunity to work with children in the Early Years Foundation Stage, helping them develop key social, emotional, and learning skills in a safe and stimulating environment.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for a nursery class, creating engaging, play-based learning experiences that encourage curiosity, independence, and a love of learning. You will work closely with teaching assistants and other Early Years staff to ensure every child receives high-quality, personalised support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate developmentally appropriate activities for nursery pupils
  • Use observation and assessment to monitor progress and inform next steps
  • Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Foster children’s independence, confidence, and social skills
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver high-quality Early Years experiences
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers, keeping them informed of children’s development
  • Support children’s transition into Reception, ensuring a smooth and positive experience
  • Maintain accurate records of progress, attendance, and wellbeing

This role allows a teacher to make a tangible difference in the early stages of a child’s education, supporting their growth across all areas of learning.

  • Qualified with QTS and Early Years experience
  • Knowledgeable about the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
  • Skilled in planning and delivering play-based learning opportunities
  • Confident in observing, assessing, and recording pupil progress
  • Patient, nurturing, and able to create a positive, inclusive environment
  • Collaborative and committed to working within a supportive Early Years team
  • Dedicated to safeguarding, inclusion, and pupil wellbeing
