We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Nursery Teacher to join a welcoming early years setting in High Wycombe, starting ASAP. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about supporting children in their first years of formal education. The nursery provides a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment where children develop confidence, independence, and a love of learning. As a Nursery Teacher, you will plan and deliver play-based and structured activities that support children’s learning and development across all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging nursery activities in line with EYFS
- Support children’s personal, social, emotional, and communication development
- Observe, assess, and record children’s progress
- Work 1:1 or with small groups as needed
- Promote positive behaviour and routines
- Build strong relationships with children, parents, and carers
- Collaborate with nursery support staff and colleagues
- Maintain a safe, organised, and stimulating learning environment
- Follow safeguarding, health, and safety policies
- Contribute to staff meetings and professional development
- Hold QTS or Early Years teaching qualification
- Have experience working in nursery or EYFS settings
- Be nurturing, patient, and child-centred
- Be creative, organised, and reflective in practice
- Have strong communication and teamwork skills
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
