A friendly primary school in Nottingham is recruiting an engaging Year 1 Teacher to start January 2026. The Year 1 Teacher will deliver a carefully sequenced early-years-to-KS1 curriculum that secures rapid progress in phonics, reading, emergent writing and number sense. The successful Year 1 Teacher will work closely with teaching assistants and the KS1 leader to plan targeted interventions and to maintain effective learning environments. Induction will be arranged ahead of January 2026 to ensure the Year 1 Teacher is ready for the spring term.

The Year 1 Teacher will focus on high-quality phonics delivery, guided reading, effective AF-based assessment and positive parental engagement to support children’s early development. Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver structured Year 1 lessons promoting phonics progression and early literacy.
