A high-performing secondary school in West Bridgford, Nottingham is looking to appoint a motivated Facilities Officer to join its premises team on a full-time, permanent basis with an ASAP start. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a well-respected school that takes pride in providing an outstanding environment for learning. You'll play a key role in ensuring the school site remains safe, secure, and well maintained, while working alongside a supportive leadership team that values the contribution of every member of staff.
The Role
Reporting to the Site Manager, you'll help oversee the smooth day-to-day operation of the school's buildings and grounds, ensuring facilities are maintained to the highest standards. Your responsibilities will include:
- Opening and securing the school site when required
- Carrying out planned maintenance, minor repairs, and general upkeep
- Responding efficiently to maintenance requests from staff
- Completing routine Health & Safety inspections and compliance checks
- Supporting fire safety, asbestos, legionella, and site security procedures
- Assisting with the supervision of contractors and external maintenance works
- Setting up halls, classrooms, and sports facilities for events and examinations
- Maintaining the appearance of the school buildings, grounds, and outdoor spaces
- Supporting ongoing refurbishment and improvement projects across the site

The Successful Candidate
