About the Role
The successful candidate will teach English across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5, delivering inspiring lessons that develop students’ reading, writing, analytical, and communication skills. Students study a diverse range of literature, including classic and contemporary texts, poetry, drama, and creative writing. You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level English Literature and English Language examinations while encouraging independent thought, discussion, and a genuine appreciation of language. You will also contribute to the wider life of the department through literacy initiatives, debating, creative writing, reading programmes, theatre visits, and enrichment activities that encourage students to engage with English beyond the classroom.
