Business Teacher Role in a State Boarding School

A highly respected State Boarding School in Nottingham is seeking to appoint an ambitious and engaging Business Teacher to join its successful Business and Economics department from September. About the Role

The successful candidate will teach Business across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5, delivering engaging and challenging lessons that develop students' analytical thinking, commercial awareness, and entrepreneurial skills.

Students study a broad curriculum covering marketing, finance, operations, human resources, business strategy, and global markets. You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Business examinations while encouraging them to evaluate contemporary business issues through case studies, research, and real-world examples.

You will also contribute to the wider life of the school through enterprise initiatives, business competitions, careers events, guest speaker programmes, and enrichment activities that inspire students to explore future opportunities in business and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Business across KS4 and KS5

Candidate Requirements

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching Business Studies at secondary level

  • Ability to teach KS4 and KS5 confidently

  • Strong subject knowledge in Business

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills

Desirable

  • Experience teaching A-Level Business

  • Experience supporting enterprise or careers initiatives

  • Ability to contribute to wider enrichment activities

  • A proven track record of delivering excellent student outcomes
