A thriving secondary school in Nottingham is looking for an experienced Safeguarding Officer to join its pastoral team and help maintain a safe and supportive environment for pupils.
Previous School Safeguarding Experience Essential
This is a hands‑on position working closely with the DSL, pastoral leaders, families and external professionals.
- Respond to and record safeguarding concerns
- Maintain accurate case files and chronologies
- Monitor referrals and agreed actions
- Support child protection processes
- Liaise with families and external agencies
- Assist with safeguarding meetings
- Maintain confidentiality and accurate records
You’ll have previous experience in school safeguarding, child protection or a similar education‑based role.
You’ll need excellent communication and record‑keeping skills, good judgement and the ability to remain calm when dealing with sensitive situations.
