School Administrator

A successful Secondary School in Northampton is seeking an organised and enthusiastic School Administrator to join its dedicated support staff team on a full-time, permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator who enjoys working in a busy school environment and takes pride in delivering outstanding administrative support. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the school office while providing a welcoming and professional service to students, parents, staff and visitors.

You will be responsible for managing reception, answering telephone and email enquiries, greeting visitors and ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed at all times. You will maintain accurate pupil records, process admissions paperwork, support attendance administration and assist with the preparation of school correspondence.

Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, you will organise meetings, manage diaries, prepare reports and maintain confidential records. You will also support school events, update management information systems and ensure administrative processes are completed efficiently and accurately.

The successful candidate will possess excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a positive and professional approach.

Requirements

  • Previous school administration experience desirable

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong organisational abilities

  • Good IT skills including Microsoft Office

  • Experience using school management systems desirable

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Friendly, professional and proactive approach
