A large, academically ambitious secondary school in Northamptonshire is seeking a committed Maths ECT to join its thriving Maths faculty from January 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a trainee teacher looking for a school with a strong track record of developing early career teachers, clear curriculum structures and excellent pastoral and instructional support.

The successful candidate will teach Maths across KS3–KS4, with opportunities to develop KS5 teaching expertise over time under the guidance of experienced mentors. Experience and Qualifications
  • QTS with a Mathematics specialism.
  • Strong understanding of mathematical pedagogy including fluency, reasoning and problem-solving techniques.
  • Ability to plan structured, engaging lessons suitable for a range of abilities.
  • Commitment to participating in the school’s ECT induction, coaching sessions and ongoing CPD.
  • Willingness to support enrichment opportunities such as maths competitions, booster sessions or numeracy initiatives.
