Premises Manager Role in an Outstanding Primary School
An Outstanding Primary School in Norfolk is seeking a reliable, practical and proactive Premises Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the school site.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong facilities, maintenance or premises experience who takes pride in creating a safe, secure and welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors. Similar school-based premises roles in Norfolk involve site security, maintenance, health and safety checks, contractor management and general site operations.
Key Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day operation of the school premises

Open and close the site securely

Carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs

Complete health and safety and compliance checks

Monitor the condition of buildings, grounds and facilities

Coordinate contractors and maintenance visits

Manage site security, keys and emergency procedures

Support room setups, events and school activities

Maintain accurate premises and maintenance records

Ensure the site remains clean, safe and well presented
Candidate Requirements
The successful candidate will ideally have:

Previous premises, facilities, caretaking or maintenance experience

Strong practical and DIY skills

Good knowledge of health and safety procedures
