A large, high-achieving academy in Newcastle is seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Science Technician to lead the technical support team from January 2026.
You will lead a team of two subject-specific technicians, managing the entire suite of Science laboratories and prep rooms. The role includes overseeing stock control, budget input, maintaining compliance with safety regulations, and ensuring seamless practical support for all key stages, especially A-Level.
Experience and Qualifications
- Significant experience working as a Science Technician, with prior experience in a supervisory or senior capacity.
- Expert knowledge of CLEAPSS procedures and statutory safety requirements.
- Proven ability to manage a team, delegate tasks, and organize staff rotas effectively.
