A primary school in Saffron Walden is seeking a Year 3 Teacher to support pupils as they move into Key Stage 2. The successful applicant will deliver a broad curriculum, develop pupils’ independence and establish strong foundations for learning across the upper primary years.
The Role
Lead a Year 3 class and deliver the primary curriculum.
Develop reading comprehension, written communication and mathematical fluency.
Plan engaging lessons that encourage curiosity and problem-solving.
Monitor attainment and adapt teaching to pupils’ needs.
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and year-group colleagues.
The Candidate
Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Has a secure understanding of Key Stage 2 curriculum expectations.
Can establish positive routines and maintain high expectations.
Uses assessment to identify learning gaps and next steps.
Communicates effectively with parents and colleagues.
