An Outstanding secondary school in Milton Keynes is seeking a dedicated and organised Science Technician to support their successful and well-equipped Science department. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing school where practical science plays an important role in engaging students and supporting strong academic outcomes.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing equipment and materials for practical lessons across Biology, Chemistry and Physics. You will ensure that laboratories are fully equipped, organised and safe for staff and students, supporting practical activities across KS3, KS4 and KS5. You will also maintain equipment, manage stock levels, organise orders and ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed carefully. Supporting teaching staff during practical lessons may also form part of the role where required.
The school is looking for someone who is proactive, reliable and able to manage a busy workload effectively. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential, as well as the ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive Science team.
