An Outstanding School in Merton is looking to recruit an enthusiastic History Teacher to join its Humanities Department. The school is seeking a teacher who can encourage students to think critically about the past, question historical evidence and develop confidence in written analysis.

You will teach a varied History curriculum covering significant events, people and developments across different historical periods. Students will develop their chronological understanding while exploring the causes and consequences of historical change.
At KS3, you will introduce pupils to a range of historical topics and help them build the skills needed to analyse evidence. At GCSE, you will prepare students for source questions, interpretations and extended written responses.
Your lessons should encourage students to consider different perspectives and support their conclusions with relevant evidence. You will monitor progress, provide constructive feedback and adapt lessons to ensure students receive appropriate support and challenge.

- Good planning and assessment skills

Salary
The salary will be paid to scale on MPS/UPS, depending on experience and qualifications.
