About the Role
The successful candidate will deliver engaging and well-structured Maths lessons that make challenging concepts accessible and encourage independent thinking. You will support students with different abilities, helping them strengthen their mathematical understanding and develop the skills needed for examination success.
Responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering high-quality Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Explaining mathematical concepts through clear instructions and varied teaching strategies.
- Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback.
- Differentiating lessons to support individual learning needs.
- Maintaining positive classroom behaviour and high expectations.
- Identifying gaps in understanding and implementing appropriate interventions.
- Collaborating with colleagues to share resources and improve teaching practice.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Strong mathematical subject knowledge and a passion for teaching.
- Effective classroom management and communication skills.
- The ability to motivate students and build confidence in problem-solving.
- A commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and high standards of teaching.
