An established independent school in Wandsworth is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Maths Teacher to join its mathematics department. The successful candidate will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students develop strong numeracy skills, logical reasoning and confidence when approaching unfamiliar problems. Maths Teacher – Role and Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Teach key topics including algebra, geometry, statistics, number and ratio.
- Prepare students for internal assessments and GCSE examinations.
- Adapt lessons to support students who require additional guidance while challenging higher-attaining learners.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback.
- Develop students' problem-solving skills, mathematical reasoning and independent learning.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and create a purposeful classroom environment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop schemes of work and share teaching resources.
- Contribute to revision sessions and extracurricular academic support where appropriate.
