An excellent secondary school in Nottingham is seeking a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher to join its team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator who can deliver engaging lessons, build students' confidence in Mathematics and support strong academic progress across the secondary age range.
The Role
The successful candidate will plan and deliver high-quality Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to teach KS5 where appropriate. You will create a positive and structured classroom environment, adapt your teaching to meet a range of abilities and help students develop the skills and confidence to succeed.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering engaging Maths lessons across KS3-KS5, as appropriate.
- Assessing student progress and providing clear, constructive feedback.
- Differentiating lessons to support and challenge learners of varying abilities.
- Maintaining high standards of behaviour and classroom engagement.
- Working collaboratively with the Maths department to share resources and ideas.
- Supporting students with exam preparation and wider academic development.
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised equivalent.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Mathematics.
- Experience teaching Maths in a UK secondary school.
- Effective classroom management and lesson-planning skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- A commitment to high expectations and inclusive teaching.
