A successful school within a large Multi-Academy Trust in Mansfield is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join its well-established Science department from September. About the Role
You will teach Science across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5, delivering engaging and challenging lessons that inspire students and support strong academic progress.
The role will involve teaching Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at KS3 and KS4, with opportunities to teach your specialist discipline at A-Level depending on experience and departmental requirements.
You will support students in developing practical laboratory skills, critical thinking, and scientific literacy while preparing them for GCSE and A-Level examinations.
As part of a Multi-Academy Trust, you will also benefit from opportunities to collaborate with colleagues across schools, share best practice, and access extensive professional development programmes.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Science across KS3, KS4, and KS5
Deliver engaging lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations
Plan and supervise practical laboratory activities
Assess student work and provide detailed, constructive feedback
Monitor progress and implement targeted intervention strategies
Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development
Support STEM enrichment activities and wider school initiatives

Candidate Requirements
Essential Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Science at secondary level
Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 confidently
Strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
Desirable
Experience teaching A-Level Science
Experience working within an academy or Multi-Academy Trust environment
Ability to contribute to STEM clubs and enrichment activities
Strong track record of securing positive pupil outcomes
