An academically ambitious independent school in Manchester is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Physics Teacher from October half term. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established Science department and teach within an environment where students are encouraged to think critically, investigate ideas and develop a genuine understanding of the subject.

The role will include:

  • Teaching Physics across KS3 and KS4
  • Teaching GCSE Physics where appropriate
  • Planning practical and engaging Science lessons
  • Supporting students with examination preparation
  • Developing students' analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Assessing and monitoring progress
  • Contributing to departmental planning and wider school activities

The school is looking for someone who can combine excellent subject knowledge with an engaging classroom presence. You'll ideally have:

  • QTS or equivalent
  • A degree or strong academic background in Physics or a related subject
  • Secondary teaching experience
  • Excellent classroom management
  • A passion for practical Science and student development
