We are seeking a compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive primary school in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting pupils with special educational needs to achieve their full potential in both academic and personal development. The successful candidate will work closely with classroom teachers and the SEN team to provide high-quality, targeted support to pupils with additional needs. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support individual or small groups of pupils with SEN in line with their personalised learning plans
  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering differentiated lessons
  • Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour in pupils
  • Help with classroom organisation and preparation of learning resources
  • Observe and report on pupil progress and behaviour, contributing to SEN documentation
  • Support pupils in accessing the curriculum, including literacy, numeracy, and practical activities
