  • Closing Attainment Gaps: Identify and target deep-seated learning barriers, deploying structured scaffolding and specialized numeracy interventions to accelerate the progress of disadvantaged pupils and those with diverse learning needs.

  • Rigorous Pupil Tracking: Implement consistent, low-stakes formative assessment routines, meticulously analysing weekly homework and formal mock scripts to spot misconceptions early and adapt planning accordingly.

  • GCSE Preparation: Guide Year 11 cohorts systematically through the demands of terminal Foundation and Higher tier GCSE Mathematics papers, building exam stamina, decoding multi-step word problems, and mastering reasoning marks.

  • Community Pastoral Care: Fulfill full form tutor responsibilities within a established year group structure, managing daily registration, delivering pastoral curriculum units, and maintaining proactive communication with families regarding attendance and welfare.

  • Inclusive School Culture: The school features a warm, inclusive, and highly diverse campus environment. Behaviour systems are centered on clear, positive boundaries and restorative conversations, aiming to build a supportive community where pupils from all backgrounds feel valued and safe.

PROFILE REQUIREMENTS

  • Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognized equivalent teaching credential, paired with a strong honours degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related numerical discipline.

  • Pedagogical Capability: A proven track record or clear capacity to deliver strong progress metrics in terminal public GCSE examinations across both tiers through explicit, highly structured maths pedagogy.

  • Inclusive Mindset: An unwavering commitment to urban education, demonstrating the patience, cultural literacy, and adaptability required to inspire and support pupils in an exceptionally diverse urban setting.

REGIONAL CONTEXT
