An Outstanding Ofsted secondary school in Maidstone is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join their experienced finance and administration team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong numerical and organisational skills who is looking to contribute to the smooth financial operation of a successful school environment.
The successful candidate will support the day-to-day financial administration of the school, including processing invoices, managing purchase orders, reconciling accounts and maintaining accurate financial records. You will work closely with the School Business Manager and wider support staff team to ensure financial systems are maintained efficiently and accurately.
Responsibilities will also include supporting budget monitoring, liaising with suppliers and assisting with financial reporting where required. Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage deadlines effectively are essential, alongside a professional and confidential approach to handling financial information.
The school is looking for someone proactive and organised who can work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative support team. Good IT skills, particularly with Excel and finance systems, would be advantageous.
