A welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Luton is seeking a passionate and dedicated French and German Teacher to join its Modern Foreign Languages department. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic practitioner to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons that develop confidence and proficiency in both French and German.
Working closely with the Head of MFL and wider teaching team, the successful candidate will contribute to curriculum development, raise standards of achievement, and foster a love of languages within a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver high-quality French and German lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Create engaging learning experiences that inspire students of all abilities.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of SEND, EAL, and higher-attaining students.
- Use assessment effectively to monitor progress and inform future planning.
- Promote excellent classroom behaviour and establish a positive learning environment.
- Deliver the French and German curriculum in line with national requirements.
- Develop engaging schemes of work and teaching resources.
- Prepare students effectively for GCSE examinations.
- Monitor student progress and implement interventions where required.
- Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental improvement initiatives.
