Economics Teacher - Luton
A highly regarded school in Luton is looking to appoint a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Economics Teacher to join its successful department from September. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who has a genuine passion for Economics and can inspire students to engage with economic theory and its application to the world around them.
The successful Economics Teacher will be expected to teach KS4 and KS5, delivering well-structured lessons covering areas such as markets, economic performance, government policy, international economics, business behaviour, and financial decision-making.
You will be expected to create an engaging learning environment where students are encouraged to ask questions, analyse information, evaluate different perspectives, and apply economic theory to real-world situations. The ability to use current examples to bring economic concepts to life would be particularly valuable.
Alongside classroom teaching, the successful candidate will contribute to assessment, marking, curriculum planning, and the monitoring of student progress. You will work closely with colleagues to ensure students receive consistent support and are appropriately prepared for their examinations.
The Economics department is committed to maintaining high academic standards while ensuring that students develop confidence in their ability to understand and analyse complex economic issues. Teachers are encouraged to collaborate and share effective teaching approaches.

Experience and Qualifications:
Qualified Economics Teacher with the ability to teach KS4 and KS5
Formal teaching qualification with QTS, such as a PGCE
Strong subject knowledge and understanding of examination requirements
Ability to explain complex economic concepts clearly
Excellent communication and classroom-management skills
Commitment to high standards of teaching and student progress
Legal ability to work within the UK
