A faith-based secondary academy in Luton is seeking a part-time Drama Teacher for a permanent 0.7 FTE position.
The school wants Drama to help students develop confidence, communication and empathy alongside practical performance skills. You will teach KS3 and GCSE groups, covering devising, scripted performance, character work, staging and evaluation.
Lessons should be structured enough to maintain high expectations while leaving room for creativity. The successful teacher will be comfortable supporting students who are hesitant to perform and challenging those who already have significant practical experience.
A relevant teaching qualification and experience of secondary Drama are desirable. Knowledge of GCSE assessment requirements would be particularly useful.
