A friendly primary school in Brent is seeking a dependable LSA to join their support staff from January 2026. The successful LSA will assist with classroom differentiation, deliver intervention programmes, support pupils with additional needs and promote positive behaviour. This LSA position in Brent will commence January 2026, with induction and handover scheduled before January 2026.

  • LSA required for a key support role in KS1/KS2
  • LSA required to work within a busy primary in Brent

The LSA will be expected to run phonics groups, support guided reading, scaffold maths activities and contribute to pupils’ social and emotional development. Working in Brent, the LSA will be part of a committed team that values consistent adult support to help pupils make progress.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead small-group interventions, monitor progress and adapt approaches to maximise impact.
  • Support teachers by preparing resources, scaffolding tasks and encouraging pupil independence.
  • Assist with behaviour management and pastoral care to support pupil wellbeing throughout the school day.
  • Maintain records of interventions and contribute to team discussions about next steps for pupils in Brent.
  • Help supervise activities and support transitions to ensure a calm learning environment.

Person specification:

  • Experience supporting children in schools, with confidence delivering interventions and classroom support as an LSA.
  • Patient, organised and able to work proactively with teachers and SENCo in Brent.
  • Able to start January 2026 and to attend pre-start induction and training before January 2026.
