About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Year 6 Teacher to join the school full-time as a Year Group Lead starting January 2026. The successful candidate will:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging, and challenging lessons for Year 6 pupils
  • Lead the Year 6 team, supporting colleagues and coordinating teaching across the year group
  • Establish a positive, inclusive, and inspiring classroom environment
  • Contribute to whole-school initiatives and enrichment activities
  • Support the leadership team in developing curriculum planning and assessment strategies

Experience and Qualifications

  • Experience teaching Year 6 / Upper Key Stage 2
  • Previous experience in a Year Group Lead or leadership role is desirable
  • A formal teaching qualification with QTS (e.g., PGCE)
  • Strong classroom management, differentiation, and assessment skills
  • The legal right to work in the UK
  • Experience in a primary school setting is desirable
