A distinguished Independent School in Southwark is recruiting a confident and strategically minded Year 6 Teacher to lead an upper KS2 class on a Full-Time basis from January 2026. The successful Year 6 Teacher will be invited to pre-term planning ahead of the January 2026 start, attend a comprehensive induction in January 2026, and take up classroom duties from January 2026.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver high-quality English and maths sequences, focusing on reasoning, comprehension and independent writing.
  • Lead SATs preparation where applicable, run targeted booster groups and use assessment data to drive rapid progress.
  • Coordinate transition to secondary schools, lead parent transition meetings and mentor junior colleagues.

Requirements:

  • QTS (or equivalent) and proven Upper KS2 experience required.
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom leadership, data literacy and the ability to inspire resilient learners.
  • Available for pre-term preparation and induction in January 2026, and able to begin teaching from January 2026.
