Are you a creative and committed Year 4 Teacher who enjoys building deep subject knowledge and authentic learning experiences? A well-led primary in Kensington is recruiting a motivated Year 4 Teacher to join their lower-KS2 phase from January 2026.
The Year 4 Teacher will be responsible for designing and delivering progressive sequences that develop reading fluency, writing composition and mathematical problem-solving. This Year 4 Teacher role in Kensington includes leading focused interventions, coordinating with support staff and contributing to curriculum refinement. Induction and a comprehensive handover will be provided prior to January 2026, ensuring the Year 4 Teacher is ready to start in January 2026.
Role responsibilities- Plan and teach sequenced Year 4 units that build long-term knowledge and vocabulary.
- Lead guided-reading groups, model effective writing strategies and deliver fluency work.
- Provide targeted small-group and one-to-one interventions, monitoring progress and adapting resources.
- Work closely with TAs to scaffold tasks and support inclusion for diverse learners.
- Engage with parents and carers, contributing to reporting and transition activities across Kensington.
- Qualified teacher with demonstrable Year 4 experience and measurable impact on pupil outcomes.
- Strong subject knowledge in English and mathematics and skilled at using assessment to inform teaching.
