A progressive Good primary school in Lewisham seeks a reflective, high-impact Year 4 Teacher to join the KS2 team on a Full-Time basis from January 2026. This Full-Time Year 4 Teacher role offers the chance to teach in a school that values practitioner research, collaboration and strong pupil outcomes.
Role summary
The Year 4 Teacher will take responsibility for delivering an ambitious Year 4 curriculum, embedding reasoning in mathematics and developing reading fluency. The Year 4 Teacher will join phase meetings, lead targeted interventions and co-design cross-curricular projects. The Year 4 Teacher appointed will be expected to start teaching in January 2026 and be fully engaged with school life from January 2026 onward.
Responsibilities & impact
- Plan, teach and assess the Year 4 curriculum as the Year 4 Teacher, ensuring progress for all.
- The Year 4 Teacher will employ formative assessment strategies and run small group interventions.
- As Year 4 Teacher, you will contribute to curriculum development and model excellent classroom practice.
- Liaise with parents, support transitions and lead enrichment activities for Year 4.
Candidate profile
- QTS and recent KS2 experience, specifically as a Year 4 Teacher.
- A Year 4 Teacher who is reflective, collaborative and committed to progress.
- Strong organisational skills and a creative approach to pedagogy.
This is a Full-Time Year 4 Teacher role; the Full-Time contract commences January 2026. Induction and mentoring will be provided from January 2026 to ensure the Year 4 Teacher can have immediate and sustained impact.
